Refinance or Delinquency Counseling

To Refinance at a lower interest rate or to prevent foreclosure:
Make an appointment with an AHC counselor and remember to bring the following documents:

Document List for Homeowners:

  • Deed
  • Mortgage
  • Loan Note or Loan Contract
  • Settlement/Closing Statement (HUD 1)
  • Good Faith Estimate
  • Truth in Lending Statement
  • Most Recent Mortgage Statement
  • Credit Life Insurance Statement
  • Balloon Mortgage Rider
  • Notice of Right to Cancel/Right of Recission

If the loan is in default/foreclosure:

  • Recent bills or letters from mortgage company
  • All notices of foreclosures/court documents etc.
  • Hardship letter describing specific circumstances surrounding the delinquency

General information:

  • Proof of income from all sources
  • Recent household bills
  • Four most recent pay stubs
  • Three months bank statements
  • Two years of most recent W2s and tax returns
  • Copy of social security or ID
  • Bankruptcy papers, if applicable
  • Judgments and release documents, if applicable
  • Credit Report Fee ($20 Check or money order)
